Salmon at the Athenian
After gearing up for the cold winter weather, we got to the Peg Place Market. Full of many merchants with amazing products for the shoppers of Seattle. Athenian has a great atmosphear of diner attitude.
beer+veggies+risotto = goodness
Dinner tonight was fun! Risotto, with some grilled veggies and fantastic beer from our local pub. Now that I live closer to the pub, we picked up a 12 case of bottled beer for fun consumption. I have to say, the Irish Red Ale is super good!
While grilling the veggies and enjoying my beers, I had a fun time hanging out in the back yard of our house and passing the time =)
ratatouille soup under pressure
Tonight marks the success of my abilities in making ratatouille soup in the pressure cooker. WOW it tastes so good!! One bowl filled me up for the rest of the night. When I diced up all of the veggatables, I thought I must had done something wrong because about half of the veggies were not underneath the liquid, but everything came out great. The tomoatos kept a bright red while the zucchini was absolutly perfect consistancy. Also, the herbs really came out good but not too over powering. Overall, I have to say I love this recipie and will be making it again for sure! I think it took me about 1 hour over all to cut up the veggies and cook the soup (yah yah im kinda slow... but umm shut up).
Maybe next time I will remember to take pictures or even video.
Tripel Dipsea Belgian Style Ale
Okay, 2 nights ago, my wife and a friend took part in some nice home cooking food and a beverage that got us tanked for about 3 hours straight. And we had only one glass each! This beer came from the Marin Brewing Co. and I have to say it tasted GREAT!! but it could have lasted a little less. ... on the other hand, was worth my money, I have to say. Anyways, the beer's name that we drank is none other than the Tripel Dipsea Belgian Style Ale.
