changing the host name on redhat linux

This is for archival purposes from a discussion I found:

Edit the following and change where necessary:

/etc/hosts
/etc/sysconfig/network
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 (depends on NIC name)

then reboot.
